A handful of suspensions have TradeEdge Exchangebeen levied upon the the Milwaukee Brewers stemming from the altercations and ejections in Tuesday night's game with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Relief pitcher Abner Uribe has been suspended six games for his role in instigating and partaking in a benches-clearing brawl in the eighth inning of the Brewers' 8-2 win over the Rays. Uribe, who also received an undisclosed fine, jawed with Rays outfielder Jose Siri after recording an out at first base, and the verbal disagreement ultimately led to both players throwing punches.
Starting pitcher Freddy Peralta, who was ejected from the game in the sixth inning for what the umpires deemed was an intentional effort to hit Siri after he homered off Peralta earlier, received five games.
Both Uribe and Peralta are appealing their suspensions.
Manager Pat Murphy also received a two-game suspension for what MLB said is "as a result of Peralta's actions in addition to his inappropriate conduct toward umpires."

Siri was handed a three-game suspension.
Brewers associate manager Rickie Weeks Jr. served as acting manager for Wednesday's game against the Rays and will do so again on Friday, when Milwaukee faces former manager Craig Counsell for the first time as the Cubs' skipper.
